The ancient replicas,  wildlife and original designs and crosses and more displayed in this gallery are all works of artist Ron White. Each piece is hand carved on natural stone. The replicas are carved with the utmost reverence for their archetype and are created in a way as close to the original as possible. The artist hand picks each stone then they are thoroughly cleaned and balanced. Once these steps are complete, they go through an aging process to create the effect of "desert varnish", this insures excellent contrast upon carving. It is at this time that the artist decides for which design the stone is best suited. He then draws the design and carefully hand carves the detail into the stone creating a unique piece of art all the while helping to preserve history.

Each piece is accompanied by a description card discussing a little bit about pertroglyphs in general and what the meaning of the specific design might be. On the back of this card are the hanging instructions and a nail.

The small, medium and large petroglyphs come with a stand, as shown, or may be hung on your wall with just a simple nail which is provided. One nail in a piece of drywall will support approximately twenty (20) pounds. Our stone carvings weigh less than eight (8) pounds each. Just hammer the nail into the wall as if you were going to mount a picture (at about a 45% angle). Ron has taken great care to balance the stones so that they will hang accurately on your wall.
