Just a Quick Drive
08-24-2010
Just a few minutes west of Denver on I-70 is the place where Buffalo Bill is buried. A great destination steeped in history and run by the Carle family for years. Please take the time to visit the landmark location and you can also check out the Lookout Mountain Nature Center at the same time. (link)
So Close and So Beautiful
08-08-2010
Nestled at the base of Mount Evans in the Central Rockies is a little place known as Echo Lake. Just a short 15 minute drive from Idaho Springs on highway 103 it can also be reached from Evergreen on the same highway. The Lodge has a great restaurant and some lovely items to check out. The lake is peaceful and full of life. You can even make the drive up Mount Evans for some of the most fantastic views in the state.
Another Fun Place to Visit

If you feel like getting a way for a couple days and escape the heat we would love to suggest Creede, Colorado. There are some beautiful lodges, guest ranch and bed and breakfasts. For an inexpensive stay with some lovely people try the Snowshoe Lodge. Clean rooms and homey atmosphere. While in Creede don't miss visiting Rare Things Gallery there is truly something for everyone. (link)

Beautiful town in central Colorado. Escape the heat and see some mountain scenery. While you are there check our Ron's work at Back Country Navigator. (link)

Hand Carved Stone by Artist Ron White

Carved Stone and Much More

Ron and Cathy White

Welcome. Please take some time to look around our gallery of stone wall art, hand carved stone, custom designs, magnets, necklaces and much more. All the replicas and modern designs displayed on these pages are all works of artist Ron White. Working in his studio in Colorado and using natural material, Ron creates replicas of some of the best known and the most obscure Petroglyphs. The replicas are carved with the utmost reverence of their archetype often times with a creative twist added by the artist. Ron’s original designs show his respect and attention to the detail he sees in nature and his love of the outdoors.

Kokopelli Carving 2010

All pieces are hand carved in stone. There is no sand blasting, acid etching or laser engraving. Ron uses tools from diamond tipped chisel to a small rotary tool like the dentist would use to repair your teeth and everything in between to create his unique pieces. The pieces shown in the Custom Stones wall art are designed to hang on your wall, all wall hangings shown in our Rock Art gallery can either hand on your wall or stand and we provided the stand and the nail both. I believe the artwork shown in our Magnets and Necklaces gallery are self explanatory. I would like to mention that the magnets are extra strong and bi-polar so the will not slide down your fridges or whatever surface you use them on. The necklaces come on a 34” leather cord that is adjustable to where as a choker or longer piece of jewelry. Every piece of carved stone art is accompanied by a description card discussing the meaning or history behind the design.

Have some fun looking around and feel free to contact us with any questions. Choose from ancient replicas, wildlife, original designs, crosses and much more. Artist Ron White is also able to create custom designs, hand carved in stone, in almost any size and subject matter of your choosing. Check out our Custom Stones gallery to see some of the stone wall art Ron has already created.

We would like to say a special and huge thank you to Romain Tranchant for designing our current web page and his continued support and involvment in our business efforts. Check out some of his current projects.
