Just a Quick Drive
08-24-2010
Just a few minutes west of Denver on I-70 is the place where Buffalo Bill is buried. A great destination steeped in history and run by the Carle family for years. Please take the time to visit the landmark location and you can also check out the Lookout Mountain Nature Center at the same time. (link)
So Close and So Beautiful

Nestled at the base of Mount Evans in the Central Rockies is a little place known as Echo Lake. Just a short 15 minute drive from Idaho Springs on highway 103 it can also be reached from Evergreen on the same highway. The Lodge has a great restaurant and some lovely items to check out. The lake is peaceful and full of life. You can even make the drive up Mount Evans for some of the most fantastic views in the state.
Another Fun Place to Visit

If you feel like getting a way for a couple days and escape the heat we would love to suggest Creede, Colorado. There are some beautiful lodges, guest ranch and bed and breakfasts. For an inexpensive stay with some lovely people try the Snowshoe Lodge. Clean rooms and homey atmosphere. While in Creede don't miss visiting Rare Things Gallery there is truly something for everyone. (link)

Offer description
Swallowtail Butterfly

Choose from ancient replicas, wildlife, original designs, crosses and much more. Each piece is accompanied by a description card discussing Petroglyphs in general and the meaning of each design. All large pieces are signed and dated by the artist.

Signature and Stand

The small (4” x 5”), medium (5” x 7”) and large (81/2” x 11”) pieces of artwork may be hung, on your wall, with the attached nail or used with the stand that comes with each piece. A nail in a piece of drywall will support approximately 20 pounds. Our stone carvings weigh less than 8 pounds each. Just hammer the nail into the wall as if you were going to hang a picture (at approximately a 45 degree angle). Then pull the nail out as far as you can without removing it from the wall. Line the hole on the back of the rock up with the nail and push the rock onto the nail and towards the wall until it is flush with the wall. This ensures that the nail is all the way inside the hole on the rock. When removing the rock from the wall lift it upward to free it from the nail. Ron has taken great care to balance the stones so that they will hang accurately on the wall. To stand the piece just place the metal rod into the hole on the back. The artwork will be supported by the pressure created when leaning back on the rod.

Hanging Hardward for Custom

Custom size panels come with an easy to use hanging kit that has been constructed to compliment the carving.

Necklaces

We like to call our unique necklaces Water Skimmers for their similarity to the rocks one would pick up to glide across the surface of a crystal clear lake. Each piece is hand carved on sandstone and comes with a 34” adjustable leather cord. A description card will accompany each necklace explaining its meaning. Actual size is 1’ to 1 ½”.

Magnets

Each magnet is approximately 11/2” to 2 “ in size and is hand carved in natural stone. The magnets are extra strength and bi-polar to so they will actually hold papers up and won’t slide down your surface. Each magnet or collection chosen comes with a description card stating what the design on the individual piece is thought to mean.
